250 Scrambler

Scrambler Ducati was born in 1962 with the 250 Scrambler, a model developed exclusively for the US market. American importer Joe Berliner believed that the Ducati range needed a simple, versatile bike suited to dirt riding or light off-roading. The 250 Scrambler was initially only available in the United States. Scrambler Ducati didn’t arrive in Italy until 1969, bolstered by a marketing campaign that could capture the spirit of young generations. From that moment, Scrambler became a symbol of freedom and style, an image that continues to live on in contemporary Ducati identity.

Livery

The livery of the Scrambler 100 directly recalls that of the first 250 Scrambler, from 1962, preserving a visual language consistent with the model's origins. The colours and surfaces interact with a clean, functional aesthetic, designed for the American market and for versatile usage. It is a livery that does away with excess, instead favouring balanced proportions and details that speak of simplicity and authenticity. Important details include mechanical elements such as the frame, swingarm, steering head and triple clamp, which take up the blue of the graphics just like the original bike, and the Moto Ducati winged logo used in the early 60s. Each element helps recreate the spirit of the first Scrambler Ducatis: bikes designed to explore, adapt and create recognisable style and that can span generations without losing meaning.
